ABOUT THE EVENT

The Midwest Traffic Safety Conference is the perfect opportunity for law enforcement, prosecutors, crash investigators, and fleet managers to come together and learn about the latest developments in traffic safety. With seminars on impaired driving and crash investigation, attendees will leave with knowledge to help keep our roads safe. Join us for this three-day event and make a difference in your community.

Announcing our Keynote Speaker

The 2024 Midwest Traffic Safety Conference is honored to announce that Sheriff Mark Lamb will be the keynote speaker at this year’s event. The conference, which will take place on November 13-15, 2024, in Itasca, Illinois, is a premier gathering of professionals dedicated to improving traffic safety and reducing impaired driving incidents.

Sheriff Lamb, a staunch advocate for pro-active, community-based policing, brings a wealth of experience and a personal perspective to the conference. Tragically, in 2022, Sheriff Lamb lost his son, his soon-to-be daughter-in-law, and his granddaughter in an impaired driving crash. This profound loss has further fueled his dedication to promoting traffic safety and preventing similar tragedies.

As the head of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Lamb has implemented numerous initiatives to reduce crime and enhance community relations. His leadership and commitment to safety have earned him widespread respect and recognition. At the conference, Sheriff Lamb will share his insights on the importance of community engagement in law enforcement and the critical need for comprehensive traffic safety measures.

“We are deeply honored to have Sheriff Lamb speak at our conference,” said Marc Fisher, Executive Director of the Midwest Center for Traffic Safety. “His personal story and professional accomplishments make him uniquely qualified to address the critical issues of impaired driving and traffic safety. We believe his message will resonate deeply with all attendees.”
